Abiding in the Word on Mother's Day.

"If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you."

1 Peter 4:14

Today was such a wonderful day as a new mother. The hubs (and Lima Bean, of course) went above and beyond today to make me feel special. From a delicious home cooked breakfast of chocolate waffles, quiche, and an incredible Prosecco/basil/strawberry cocktail to an adirondack chair (with new running clothes on it) and a table for our outdoor patio, oh man did I get spoiled. I have to admit we didn't go to church and Andrew let me sleep in... it was GLORIOUS! I was showered with love and I'm so grateful.

To my mom: I love you and I'm so thankful for you. Thank you for teaching me what it means to be a mother by your amazing example. I cherish you.

To my mother-in-law: thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family and loving me like a daughter. I love being a Jones.

To my hot mama sisters: thank you for friendship, laughter, and lots of advice. What a fun adventure we get to share together... motherhood. :)

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Abiding in the Word and Cinco de Mayo.

"For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily."

Colossians 2:9

I hope you all had a wonderful Lord's Day and a fun Cinco de Mayo Saturday. Andrew's team came over yesterday to celebrate. We enjoyed fajitas and a pinata (hence the stick that Andrew is holding), along with some rounds of Catch Phrase and ping pong/pool battles.

Lima Bean also had a festive Cinco de Mayo...

A few videos.

Here are a few videos of Lima Bean. Please excuse my talking on the phone in the video while she's eating (I tried to say as few words as possible!).

Hello tooth.

We've been thinking that Lima Bean has been cutting a tooth for a while now...

And we were right!

You can see that shiny white tooth peeking through her gums. It made its appearance earlier this week.

We're so proud of our little munchkin. Hehe. ;)

Here's my pitiful attempt at a photo... she looks like a crazy gal.

If you look very closely, you can see it emerging from the middle of her lower gums. It looks like we're going to have a Tom Cruise on our hands. :)

Ok that was unnecessary, but seriously, something is not right.

Lima Bean loves to chew on anything she can find. We've even designated a remote control as "Lima's."

In other news, apparently it's moth season here in the Springs. Talk about nasty. I've never seen SO MANY MOTHS. This isn't a great photo, but I hope it helps give you an idea of how bad it is.

All those little black spots? Yeah, those are moths... and that's on a good day.

I feel like we're in Birds II... just with giant, furry moths. Here's hoping we make it out alive!
