What's up with Lima...

In lieu of Lima Bean's six month birthday celebration, here is a synopsis of what's up with Lima. A lot has changed since the beginning...

- She is blabbering and cooing constantly.
- She drools... a lot.
- She loves to laugh, and it is certainly contagious. While laughing, she likes to interject a boisterous shriek here and there. I love that.
- She is such a ham when we're in public. She gives most anyone a big grin when they acknowledge her.
- She is sitting up on her own very well.
- She rolls everywhere.
- She isn't crawling, but I think it is in her near future.
- She has lost a little of her interest in reading - she'd rather gnaw on the book or roll around.
- She goes to bed between 7-8 p.m. and wakes up around 6-7 a.m. Then (usually) goes back to sleep until 8-9 a.m. We are currently weaning her off of her "dream feeding" around 10 p.m. I am very thankful for her good sleep habits!
- She is currently dining on rice cereal, avocado, and sweet potato. She has taken a liking to all three.

- I am preparing her meals at home in bulk. So far, so good.

- She enjoys entertaining herself (yay for accomplishing housework!)
- She likes to play outdoors or go for walks in her stroller when the weather permits.

- Amos is her best friend.

- Her six month doctor's appointment went really well. We've opted out of shots, so there's no dreading her appointments.
- She weighs 18.5 lbs, putting her in the 91% for weight.
- She is 28 in. long, putting her in the 98% for height.
- She is so long, some six month clothes are too short so she wears nine month nighties.
- She is TOTALLY out of her brace for hip dysplasia (for two weeks now).
- She enjoys watching her mama play fetch with the dogs outside. She gets tickled to see the dogs run back and forth.

- She is a fabulous sous chef (no she doesn't get near the hot stove or sharp knives).
- She likes to drink water from her sippy cup or her mama's glass.
- She listens to classical music throughout the day while playing. I think we have a future Mozart on our hands. :)
- She likes to hear her daddy's voice on speakerphone when we call him at work.
- She loves to snuggle with her daddy.

Well that's all I can think of right now. I hope that helps you get to know LB a little more!

She's growing up so fast. It's crazy that we are already reminiscing of these days...

6 months!

Lima Bean is six months old today! Shocking, I know.

Happy six month birthday LB!

We are celebrating your birth all day - and everyday, for the matter.

A little this. A little that.

Last Sunday afternoon, we went with our BFFs to Seven Falls. It was a nice Sunday afternoon adventure. Would I ever do it again with a 6 month old baby? Negatory. Probably not the safest thing... to take a baby up 224 steep stairs, but we know now!

Last week, Andrew and I made this pasta from the Pioneer Woman. It was A-mazing (surprise, surprise).

{photo compliments of Pioneer Woman}

Yesterday, we went for another little adventure... just a nice drive to Woodland Park. We stopped on the way for these:

Emmie didn't get any peanuts, but she got the next best thing:

Can't really complain when this is your view the whole ride.

After our drive, Andrew and Mike went out for a little more action... this is a result of their fun:

I had other things in mind. A new spring wreath!

Well that's all for now. Happy Sunday!

LB's first meal.

Lima Bean is growing up! I can't believe it.

Her first meal of delicious rice cereal was Sunday morning. I think it went very well, but I'll let you decide. :)

I'm proud of our growing girl!

Happy Baby.

This is what I walk in to find each morning when Lima Bean wakes up...
