Month 11.

Last month until this baby is ONE!

Firecracker continues to lives up to her name. She is feisty, expressive, and dramatic... and we love it (most of the time). We went through a little rough patch this past month where she seemed to be really fussy a lot and we couldn't seem to please her. I hope I don't eat my words, but it seems as if she's evened out a bit and is back to being a pleasant little babe.

As of three days ago, she is totally weaned from nursing. She still takes a formula bottle between 2-3 times a day, but we will slowly start to cut that out too. Eating is her thing... just like her sister. Black olives, blueberries, and almond butter sandwiches are probably her top three food choices (if I could vote for her).

The majority of her clothes are a disaster from her crawling everywhere. (I promise I mop). I will more than likely toss most of her pjs because the stained knees and elbows are a lost cause. By 10.5 months, Lima Bean was walking. Firecracker is taking her time, and that's ok. I would guess within another month or so she might be taking some steps all on her own. We shall see.

Music is her next favorite thing. She responds to any music she hears and will start to do a little jig. It's pretty cute. Well, she's pretty cute, so the little jig just adds a little something. :)

Reading is another favorite hobby. She likes to sit in my lap while I read and touch the pages.

She's holding strong with two bottom teeth, and it doesn't look like anymore are in sight just yet.

Although she doesn't say words, she is our chatter box.

I don't know where she falls on the charts for height and weight because she didn't go to her 6- or 9-month appointments, so I'm curious to find out where she will fall. She appears to be slightly smaller in both height and weight than Lima Bean at this age, but what she might lack in size, she makes up for in personality!

Enjoy Firecracker's 11 month photos.

Almost a full nose crinkle....  Oh wait, here it comes...

(can't forget the extra squinty eyes)

"Are you finished yet?!?"

And other photo shenanigans...

Poor Lima Bean... we all keep dry lips during the winter.

HI!

We took a trip to GA last month. Our purpose was two-fold: to visit family (of course) and also to drop the girls off on our way to the annual Chick-fil-A Seminar hosted by Corporate for all operators. This year, Seminar was in Orlando, FL. We had a very nice time with our CFA family, but spending time with our immediate families far outweighed our four days in FL. It always seems so short, but I can't complain... I was so thankful to see both sides, and especially spend time with my sister and letting Lima Bean play with her cousin.

Here are a few photos from the last month. Be on the lookout for Firecracker's 11 month photo too. That's coming up today or tomorrow. I can't believe she'll be ONE in a month. Time goes by faster and faster every year, and with every addition to our family. Speaking of which, I'll prob be giving a little pregnancy update in the next week or so... maybe I'll even grace you with a pic of the 'ol belly. :) I'm having a hard time coming up with a blog name for this lil munchkin too. Maybe that should be it... munchkin. Anywho, any suggestions are welcomed!

The weird, blue dessert we had one night at Seminar. I was on the fence about the whole thing. Don't worry, it didn't glow once eaten. ;)

We spent one evening at Universal Studios. I only "rode" two rides. It was a little lame for Miss Preggo, but that's ok. I enjoyed the fellowship. Here is a picture we took for Miss Lima Bean, who had just watched Despicable Me.

Lima Bean was busy taking care of Billy and Nanny everyday while we were home. She even wanted to go out "all by Emmie's self."  Brave little girl. I love that about her.

 Our Seminar BFFs.

A good friend from long ago (Camp Winshape days), Rachel.

Homeward bound with two sleepies.

This one, however, wasn't interested in sleeping... even though she should've been!

A surprise for Lima Bean when we got home from Mimi - her very own castle! A good distraction from the hurt of missing grandparents.

This girl LOVES Lima Bean's chair.

And this girl LOVES the outdoors. Who knows what goes through that busy brain of hers. :)

Currently craving, among plenty of junk-filled foods like fries and Mexican, a delicious salad. I'm loving all things light and refreshing.

Lima Bean's hat mysteriously ends up on Firecracker's head... a lot.

Not a great pic of Lima Bean, but here's Firecracker's most recent smile... the nose crinkle.

What she does when you ask her to say "cheese!"

Andrew's birthday was two weeks ago. We had a fun day that started off with "pesents."

Daddy's card from the girls - personally signed and all.

One of Lima Bean's new summer dresses... she insisted on wearing it, so we improvised for the chilly weather.

Why, hello there! Firecracker isn't walking yet, but she is busy busy busy crawling and pulling up.

There it is... the nose crinkle.

She would spend all day in that swing if she could.

Or just playing outside.

Andrew was given some really great tickets to an Avalanche game. It was so much fun. We won! Of course the one picture I took was of the other team. Oh well, at least I have proof I was there!

Our little spider.

And our doctor.

Almost walking
