Abiding in the Word.

"For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy."

1 Corinthians 7:14

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday week. We certainly did. Lima Bean's Auntie Rach has been here for a few weeks. She's loved having the company (as have I).

Here are a few photos from the week.

Emmie celebrating her first 4th.

A very needed date night.

Having fun at home.

Just doing a little work on the house... with a pen.

Week 40.

Happy Fourth of July to all!

This time last year I was celebrating the 4th with my parents at some dear, dear friend's house... and I was already great with child. Now, that lil child is 40 weeks old!

Lima Bean says, "Happy Independence Day!"

(she likes to say big words like independence...)

Abiding in the Word.

"He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit."

Titus 3:5

Just a little update... as of today, the fire is 45% contained. Unfortunately over 350 homes have been destroyed. Luckily, however, there have been very few deaths. Praise God!

Fire update.

Many of you have been asking about the Waldo Canyon Fire that is engulfing Colorado Springs and if we are ok. First off, we are safe and very far from the fire. The fire is on the west side of town, about 30 miles away for us. In order for it to reach us, it would first have to take over the whole town. So, I'm thinking we don't have to worry! Thank you for those concerned, however, we appreciate your thoughts. We have good friends. :)

Nevertheless, there are many in danger. The fire has reached over 15,000 acres and is only 5% contained. The estimated containment date is around July 16. Over 32,500 residents have had to evacuate, many losing their homes. Please be praying for our town!

Here are some pictures from the fire.
